My Sweet Little Girl

It has been several days now since we lost Rhoda AKA The Boo-Boo. I still expect to hear her bark as I climb the steps to the front door. I miss her following me from room to room as I work around the house. She never met a person she didn't like nor a dog that she did.
Just before Christmas, the vet found a tumor behind her bladder which was unoperable and malignant. The vet told us to take her home and love her, which we did. She didn't seem to know that she was even sick until about three weeks ago when she lost her appetite. By then, the tumor was about the size of an orange in her little belly. We took her to the emergency vet on Sunday to have her put down. We just couldn't let her suffer any longer. As the vet prepared the injection, she slumped in my arms. I miss you, Boo-Boo.

OH! So sorry for your loss. I know that sounds so trite when your hurting. Loosing a pet is almost like loosing a child, our 4 legged children. It sounds like she had a wonderful home and you have loving memories to draw on. ((Hugs))

Hello Lindy, I thought I would come over and visit with you. Thankyou for your comment on my Blog. I was terribly sad to read that you lost your wee girl. I have 2 dogs myself and I can imagine what a terrible time this has been for you. Lots of love from England, Kath.

I'm so sorry. I know you "knew" it
was coming but that empty space a
loved dog leaves is heartbreaking.

I'm also happy you have Buster to
comfort you. Puppies don't let us
get stuck in sadness for too long.
Take care of you, Patty

You can call me Betty, or Bethany, or Beth ...Just don't call me late for dinner. said...

Poor you to lose your friend. That is so hard. I never would have believed how much my dog fills up my life.
There's so much love in their furry little bodies.
